Our Routine

At Wildflowers Montessori, our daily routine is thoughtfully designed to create a balanced, nurturing, and engaging day for the children. We have a free-flow to the outdoors which means children spend supervised time outside in the garden as often as they’d like (weather permitting), during free play time.

  • 8:30am until 9:30am - Warm welcome and breakfast time

  • 9:30am until 10am- Assembly time (short, age-appropriate group gathering where children come together to share stories, songs, celebrations and different group activities or dynamics)

  • 10am until 10:30am - Free play and Montessori working cycle

  • 10:30am until 10:45am - Adult led activity (planned learning experience guided and directed by an educator to teach specific skills or concepts.)

  • 10:45am until 11:30am: Outdoors time

  • 11:30am - Lunch time (Children bring their own packed lunch to ensure that all dietary requirements are met for each child)

  • 12:30pm- Nap time - Children who need a nap will be settled in our cosy, quiet sleep area designed specifically for rest time. We provide comfortable, cot-sized beds. Parents bring bedding from home.

  • 1:00pm - Morning collection time and Montessori/focus 1 to 1 activities for the big children who do not need a nap. While our younger children are resting, older children who do not require a nap take part in Montessori activities and focus on 1-to-1 learning opportunities. This dedicated time allows us to work closely with our pre-schoolers and extend their learning experiences in a calm and purposeful environment.

  • 3:00pm - School day collection time and afternoon snack for the children who are staying for full days.

  • 3: 45pm - Garden time: A second outdoor session encourages physical activity and EYFS/Montessori outdoor learning activities.

  • 5:00pm : Children regroup for a final collaborative activity, reflecting on the day and strengthening friendships.

  • 5:30pm - Goodbye

This routine provides a consistent, balanced structure, creating a harmonious blend of play, learning, rest, and connection with nature.
