Opening Times & Term Dates

Wildflowers Montessori is open all year round, offering both All-Year and Term-Time attendance options.

Term-Time Places
Our term-time places follow the Oxfordshire County Council school term dates. Children attending term-time will be off during:

  • Half-term weeks

  • Easter holiday

  • Summer holidays

  • Christmas holiday

Christmas Nursery Closure
Please note: Wildflowers Montessori is closed for our Christmas break from 21 December to 31 December (inclusive).

All-Year Places
Children attending all-year can attend throughout the year, except during our published closures (including the Christmas closure above) and any bank/public holidays (where applicable).

Term dates for 2025–26

  • Autumn Term: 2 September – 24 October

  • October Half-Term: 27 October – 31 October

  • Autumn Term: 3 November – 19 December

  • Christmas Holiday: 20 December – 2 January

  • Spring Term: 5 January – 13 February

  • Spring Half-Term: 16 February – 20 February

  • Spring Term: 23 February – 27 March

  • Easter Holiday: 30 March – 10 April

  • Summer Term: 13 April – 22 May

  • Late Spring Half-Term: 25 May – 29 May

  • Summer Term: 1 June – 20 July

Summer holidays begin after the final term end date and continue until the start of the autumn term, in line with Oxfordshire County Council dates.

We offer two convenient sessions for children 2 years and older, all year round, for those accessing private childcare hours.

Hourly charges are £9.90 per hour and subject to review annually.

Option 1:

Full Day (9 hours)

8:30am- 5:30pm

£89.10 daily

Option 2:

School Day (6.5 hours)

8:30am - 3:00pm

£64.35 daily

We accept the 15-hour and 30 hour funded early education entitlement.

Funded places can be taken as:

  • Morning sessions

  • Afternoon sessions

  • Full-day sessions

  • A combination of sessions within our available patterns

Funded hours are allocated within our fixed session structure and are subject to availability.

Additional hours beyond the funded entitlement are charged at our standard rate.

What you need to know.

  • 15 and 30 Hour government funding is accepted.

  • Funding can be “stretched” over 50 weeks (we close 2 weeks over Christmas) to spread the free hours over the entire year, which means 30 hour funding is claimed at 22 hours per week throughout the year. If attending term time only, the full 15/30 hours will be applied each week if available.

  • Voluntary Consumables Contribution: We invite families to contribute £0.75 per funded hour to help cover items such as meals, snacks, drinks, nappies, wipes, hygiene materials, craft resources, and suncream. This contribution is voluntary and funded hours remain free at the point of delivery.

  • Ad Hoc hours can be booked but are charged at the hourly rates above with a £2 per hour additional fee are booked at the discretion of the nursery manager.
