Where Montessori Meets Nature -

Learning at Wildflowers

Our learning environment is guided by both the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Montessori principles, offering the best of both worlds.

We focus on the seven areas of learning and development, interwoven with moments of imagination, music, storytelling, and creative arts

🌻 Our Educators

Our dedicated team of practitioners are the heart of Wildflowers. Each member brings a wealth of knowledge, creativity, and warmth to our setting.

All our staff are qualified in Early Years Education and share a deep respect for Montessori principles and eco-conscious practice. They receive ongoing professional development and Montessori-inspired training, ensuring their teaching is both current and reflective.

We believe that when educators feel supported, inspired, and valued - children flourish too. That’s why we cultivate a calm, collaborative, and nurturing workplace where every team member feels heard and plays an important role in the life of our nursery.

🌱 Learning Through Nature

Our garden and natural materials are at the heart of our curriculum. From planting seeds to exploring seasonal changes, the outdoors is an extension of our classroom - a place where learning feels effortless and joyful.

We teach respect for the Earth through small, mindful actions: recycling, composting, and learning how to care for the living things around us.

🧮 The Montessori Approach

Inspired by the philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori, our environment is carefully prepared to encourage independence and respect for oneself, for others, and for the world around us.

Children are given real tools and real choices, learning through hands-on experiences that build confidence and a deep sense of belonging.

Through purposeful play, sensorial exploration, and everyday practical life activities, children develop concentration, coordination, and care for their environment.
